Exelixis 1701 Harbor Bay Parkway Laboratory TI
XL renovated an existing 59,000 s.f. building, integrating a steel structure to support MEP services and new rooftop equipment.
XL completed extensive renovations to an existing 59,000 s.f. building that holds labs and offices for cancer drug developer Exelixis. XL integrated a steel structure to the building to accommodate the mechanical, electrical and plumbing services that were unable to be supported by the existing roof framing. XL added new HVAC and other infrastructure systems, created underground lab waste disposal, installed fireproofing and a new transformer, constructed a utility yard, and added a new generator and generator enclosure that carried the load for the new lab equipment and critical lab elements. The completed building now houses chemistry, biology, and pharmacology laboratories that meet Exelixis’ specifications and a chemical storage bunker for this genomics-based research company.
