XL Construction and California State University East Bay Breaks Ground on Applied Sciences Center
A groundbreaking ceremony was held in early December at California State University, East Bay, to commence construction of a new 22,000 square foot state-of-the-art Applied Sciences Center.
XL Construction will serve as the builder for the project, which is scheduled to be completed in 2024. The facility will house a broad range of student resources including cutting-edge research labs; the Technology Collaboration Center, a dedicated student-faculty research space; a STEM Lab for students seeking support as they move through their introductory science classes; and dedicated flexible spaces for students to work on their studies or projects.
Representatives from XL Construction, university officials/educators, alumni, community leaders, partners and client reps participated in the ceremony.
