XL Executive Vice President and mass timber expert to join panel discussion on the “Price Transparency, Volatility and Stability: Insights on Cost Planning”
XL Executive Vice President and mass timber expert, David Beck will be joining other industry experts on the “Price Transparency, Volatility and Stability: Insights on Cost Planning” panel at the International Mass Timber Conference on Wednesday, March 27 at 10:30am. This session will focus on the complicated facets of price as it relates to mass timber production.
The “Price Transparency, Volatility and Stability: Insights on Cost Planning” roundtable discussion will explore the barriers and obstacles of working with mass timber from the perspective of a multi-family home developer. The session will be moderated by Sam Rodriguez of Mill Creek Residential Trust, whose firm has considered mass timber but are not yet convinced of the advantages of working with this unique material for their purposes. The panel will include leading manufacturers, both international and North American-based firms, along with XL Construction, a well-known construction firm specializing in building with mass timber. The goal of this session is to identify typical issues for companies not experienced with mass timber and learn how to address those with a focus on the complicated facets of price as it relates to mass timber production.
The International Mass Timber Conference is the largest gathering of mass timber experts in the world, focusing on the entire industry supply chain. This is the 8th annual event in Portland, Oregon, USA.
Attendees will explore cross-laminated timber (CLT), nail-laminated timber, glulam, mass plywood panels, dowel-laminated timber, and laminated veneer lumber; and the opportunities and obstacles in global design, construction, development, manufacturing, and more.
XL Construction will be hosting a booth in the conference exhibit hall. Visit them at booth #614!
