Solano Irrigation District Headquarters
XL was selected to build out 82,000 s.f of interiors for a new headquarters and modernization of a repair and maintenance facility.
To effectively manage billions of gallons of water for families and farms, the Solano Irrigation District (SID) enlisted XL Construction to build-out 82,000 s.f of interiors for a new headquarters. The headquarters provided space for upgraded and advanced water control technology. Scope also included modernization of interiors of a repair and maintenance facility, part of SID’s “corporation yard,” the base of field operations. XL’s build-out of these two structures allowed SID to comprehensively modernize and centralize maintenance. The project was completed as Design-Build with Brereton and Comstock Johnson. Overall, this solution saved the District in excess of $10 million, allowed for timely occupancy, and provided full build-out at one time, rather than phasing the project because of the cost savings.
