Natomas USD K-8 School Conversion

XL Construction converted three Natomas USD elementary schools to K-8 facilities to support the Sacramento community’s growth. XL’s scope included 24,700 s.f. at American Lakes School, 16,500 s.f. at Bannon Creek School and 36,200 s.f. at Jefferson School. XL added a multipurpose gymnasium and outdoor athletic track to each campus, and a one-story classroom building each at two campuses. At all sites, XL constructed new exterior quads that help delineate campus areas for older grades. The comprehensive plan for the sequential three-campus project allowed XL to efficiently utilize trade partners, team members and other resources—ultimately bringing savings to the district. Project completed in Summer 2021.
